Learn basic glass fusing skills. You will learn about glass compatibility, firing schedules, and watch the firing of a small jewelry kiln. Begin the day making five jewelry pieces including one with a slot. Then we will learn glass cutting and strip cutting, and finish the day designing a 9" plate. Glass and warm glass have always held a fascination for Dione. From stretching the necks of bottles in a kiln in the 1970s to firing jewelry, plates, and bowls in her glass kiln today, she is always experimenting with new ideas in glass. She paints on glass in the traditional method with a contemporary twist. Dione has authored stained glass books and a fusing book.

Supply fee includes everything needed (including firing) to make five pieces of jewelry and a 9" plate and use of tools. $98. Pieces will be available the following week. Class in YAM Education Studio.
