April 24, 2010 The Color of Light in Oil Painting II Well-known oil painter James Poulson will demonstrate the use of color and light in oil painting, demonstrating techniques used to develop an effective approach to mimic light sources within the painting. Supplies should include your own painting or a small canvas, brushes, alkyd paint medium or liquid and odorless thinner. Jim's palette includes titanium white, cadmium yellow light, cadmium yellow medium, cadmium orange, yellow ochre, burnt sienna, alizarin crimson or rose madder, viridian, sap green, cerulean blue, cobalt blue, ultramarine blue, dioxazine purple, and Payne's gray.
